ParkYoRide (“ParkYoRide,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, mobile apps, and related services (the “Services”).
1) What we collect
We collect the information you provide and data generated when you use the Services:
- Account & Contact Info: name, email, phone number, password, profile details.
- Verification & Listing Info (Hosts): listing address/pin, photos, capacity, availability, notes/rules.
- Booking & Transaction Info: bookings, dates/times, prices, payout and refund history.
- Payment Info (processed by Stripe): we do not store full card numbers. Stripe or your payment provider handles cards and payouts.
- Location Data: approximate and/or precise location (when you allow it) to show nearby spaces and for check-in/navigation.
- Photos/Media: listing photos (Hosts) and optional check-in/issue photos (Parkers/Hosts).
- Device & Usage Data: app version, device type, OS, language, diagnostic logs, and basic analytics about features used (to improve reliability/performance).
- Communications: messages you send in-app and to support.
We do not collect sensitive categories unless you choose to share them in free-text fields (please don’t).
2) How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide the Services: account creation, listings, search, bookings, navigation, check-in, payouts, and customer support.
- Process Payments & Payouts: via Stripe or similar processors.
- Safety & Integrity: prevent fraud, verify listings, handle disputes/chargebacks, and enforce policies (e.g., no-show/overstay).
- Improve & Support: troubleshoot, analyze performance, and develop new features.
- Communicate with You: confirmations, reminders, service messages, and support responses (you can opt out of non-essential emails).
We do not use your information for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.
3) Legal bases (for users in the EEA/UK)
We process data to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests (safety, improvement, customer support), to comply with law, and with your consent (e.g., precise location, camera/photos).
4) Sharing your information
We share only as needed to run the service:
- Payment processors (e.g., Stripe) for payments/payouts and fraud prevention.
- Cloud & Infrastructure providers (hosting, image storage—for example, a cloud image service for photos).
- Maps/Navigation providers (e.g., Apple/Google Maps) to show locations and directions.
- Customer Support tools to manage tickets and emails.
- Legal/safety: if required by law, to protect rights, safety, or investigate fraud.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5) Location, Camera & Photos
- Location: We ask for “While Using the App” permission to show nearby parking and guide you to a booked space. You can change this in your device settings.
- Camera/Photos: Used for listing and check-in/issue photos. You can deny permission; some features may not work.
6) Cookies & website analytics
Our website may use essential cookies and basic analytics to keep the site secure and improve performance. You can use browser settings to control cookies.
7) Data retention
We keep your information only as long as needed:
- Account data while your account is active.
- Booking/transaction records for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, and dispute reasons.
- Photos/logs for as long as needed to operate, enforce policies, or resolve issues.
When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data that we no longer need. Some records (e.g., payments, disputes, fraud prevention) may be retained as required by law or legitimate business needs.
8) Your choices & rights
- Account Settings: update profile, vehicle info, and notifications in the app.
- Permissions: manage Location/Camera/Photos in your device settings.
- Access/Correct/Delete: you can request a copy, correction, or deletion of your data.
- Delete My Account: in the app, go to Settings → Delete my account. If you can’t access the app, email us.
For California/US state residents: you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and limit use of certain data. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9) Children
Our Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or under the minimum age required by your region). If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to delete it.
10) Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong, unique password and keep your device up to date.
11) International users
If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries with different data-protection laws.
12) Third-party links
Our site/app may link to third-party sites (e.g., map, payment, or help pages). Their privacy practices are governed by their policies.
13) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we’ll change the Effective Date above. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app or on our site.
