Frequently Asked Questions

ParkYoRide  Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to use ParkYoRide?

Downloading and using the ParkYoRide app is free. There are no upfront costs to join or list a parking space.

ParkYoRide earns revenue only when a booking is completed.

Our standard service fee is 20% per booking, which helps cover payment processing, customer support, platform maintenance, and continued improvements to the platform.

As part of our early access rollout, select Hosts may qualify for promotional reduced service fees, including 10% for registered or early Hosts in certain cities or programs. Any applicable rate is clearly shown in your host account and applied automatically.

As ParkYoRide grows, service fees may be adjusted over time to reflect platform improvements, operating costs, and demand. Your rate is always shown transparently.

How do I get paid?

Payments are processed securely through Stripe and deposited directly into your bank account once your Stripe account is connected.

Payouts follow Stripe’s standard payout schedule. In rare cases involving disputes or chargebacks, funds may be temporarily held while the issue is reviewed.

What is ParkYoRide’s insurance coverage?

ParkYoRide carries professional liability (Errors & Omissions) insurance that covers the operation of the platform, including payments and service-related issues.

ParkYoRide does not currently provide insurance coverage for Host properties or vehicles parked on them.

Hosts are responsible for maintaining their own homeowner’s, renter’s, or property insurance. Most Hosts already have basic liability coverage through existing policies.

As ParkYoRide grows, we plan to introduce additional Host protections and insurance options similar to what larger platforms have implemented as they scaled.

Do I need insurance to be a Host?

In many cases, you probably already have it. Most homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policies include basic liability coverage.

We don’t require Hosts to upload proof of insurance during early access, but we encourage everyone to confirm their coverage with their insurance provider so they feel comfortable hosting.

What happens if a driver damages my property?

All drivers must agree to ParkYoRide’s Terms of Service and are responsible for any damage they cause.

We recommend taking clear photos of your parking space before and after each booking. Repeated issues may result in a driver’s account being suspended.

What happens if a car stays past the booked time?

If a driver overstays, they may be charged an additional fee for the extra time.

If the issue continues, you can report it through the ParkYoRide app and our support team will assist.

Do I need to be home when someone parks?

No. ParkYoRide is designed to be hands-off.

Drivers receive all necessary instructions through the app and can park without assistance.

How do I set my prices and availability?

You’re in full control. Hosts can set hourly, daily, or weekly prices and block off dates or times when their space isn’t available.

All settings are managed through the ParkYoRide host dashboard.

How do I communicate with drivers?

For privacy and security, all communication between Hosts and drivers happens inside the ParkYoRide app. Personal contact information is not shared.

Can I list more than one parking space?

Yes. If you have multiple available spaces, you can create separate listings for each one in your host account.

Do I need a business license to host?

In most cases, no. Hosts are typically individuals renting out private parking on their own property.

Local rules can vary, so Hosts are responsible for following any local regulations that apply to them.

What if I want to stop hosting?

You can deactivate your listing at any time through your host dashboard. There’s no long-term commitment.

Is ParkYoRide a property manager?

No. ParkYoRide is a marketplace that connects Hosts and drivers. We do not own, operate, or manage parking spaces.

City Ambassador Program FAQs

What is a City Ambassador?

A City Ambassador helps ParkYoRide grow in their local area by introducing the platform to potential Hosts and spreading awareness in their city.

City Ambassadors are independent partners, not employees.

Who can become a City Ambassador?

Anyone can apply. If you’re motivated, well-connected locally, or know people who could benefit from earning money with their parking space, you may be a great fit.

No formal experience is required.

How do City Ambassadors earn money?

City Ambassadors may earn referral-based incentives or revenue share tied to the Hosts they introduce to the platform.

Details vary by city and program and are clearly communicated before participation.

Is this a full-time job?

No. This is a flexible opportunity. Some Ambassadors spend a few hours a week, others are more active. Participation is optional and performance-based.

Do City Ambassadors represent ParkYoRide?

City Ambassadors do not represent ParkYoRide in a legal or official capacity and may not make guarantees on behalf of the platform.

Is ParkYoRide actively looking for City Ambassadors?

Yes. As we expand city by city, we’re actively looking for early Ambassadors who want to help grow their local market and benefit from being early.

How do I apply to become a City Ambassador?

You can apply through ParkYoRide’s website or app. Our team will review applications and follow up with next steps.

Final trust note

ParkYoRide is built by a small team focused on making parking easier, fairer, and more local, starting city by city. Early Hosts and Ambassadors play a big role in shaping the platform as it grows.
