What if a driver damages my property?
* Answer: We require all drivers to agree to our terms of service, which hold them responsible for any damage to your property. While we cannot guarantee against all potential incidents, we recommend taking clear photos of your space before and after each rental. We are exploring insurance options for our hosts, but for now, we advise that you check with your own homeowner's or property insurance provider regarding liability.
How do I set my prices and availability?
* Answer: You have full control over your listing. You can set your own prices by the hour, day, or week and block off any dates or times when your space is unavailable. All of this can be managed directly through the ParkYoRide host dashboard.
How do I communicate with a driver?
* Answer: For your privacy and security, all communication between hosts and drivers is done through the ParkYoRide app. This allows you to coordinate details without sharing personal contact information.
Do I have to be at home when someone parks in my driveway?
* Answer: No. Our service is designed to be completely hands-off for you. Once you have a booking, the driver will receive all the necessary information to find your location and park without any assistance from you.
How much does it cost to use ParkYoRide?
* Answer: As part of our early access program, the first three months of your hosting are completely free. After that, we take a small 10% service fee from each booking. This fee helps us cover payment processing, customer support, and platform maintenance.
Can I list more than one parking space?
* Answer: Yes! If you have multiple available parking spots on your property, you can create separate listings for each one. This can be managed easily through your host account.
What if I want to stop hosting?
* Answer: You are free to deactivate your listing at any time. Simply go to your host dashboard, and your space will no longer be available for booking.
Host Insurance FAQ
Do I really need insurance to be a Host? * * Answer: In most cases, you probably already have it! Most homeowners or renters insurance policies include basic liability coverage. That means if something unexpected happens on your property, you’re usually protected. We just encourage you to double-check with your provider so you feel comfortable.
Does ParkYoRide provide insurance for Hosts?
* Answer: Not at this time. We’re still growing and keeping things simple. ParkYoRide doesn’t provide coverage for Hosts or for vehicles parked in your space. That’s why we suggest making sure your own insurance is in place.
Will ParkYoRide be checking my insurance? * Answer: Right now, no we’re focused on building the community and making parking easier. In the future, we may ask for proof of coverage, but today it’s more about reminding Hosts to be mindful. Bottom line: it’s your responsibility to make sure your space is covered.
What happens if something goes wrong? * Answer: If something happens on your property, your own insurance policy is what will respond. That’s why it’s good to make sure you’re covered. ParkYoRide can’t cover losses or damages on your space.
What’s the easiest way to know if I’m covered?
* Answer: Just call or email your insurance provider and ask: “Does my liability coverage include people parking in my driveway or lot?” Most of the time, the answer is yes. If not, they can often add a small rider for peace of mind.
I’m just renting out a driveway. Do I really need to worry?
* Answer: We don’t want to make this scary most hosts never run into any issues. This is just about being smart and making sure you’re protected. Think of it like wearing a seatbelt. You hope you never need it, but it’s better to have it.
