FAQ ParkYoRide

Frequently Asked Questions

Pricing & Payments (Hosts)

How do I get paid?
Payouts are sent through our payment partner (Stripe) to your bank account after verification. Once approved, payouts follow Stripe’s schedule (typically a few business days). Check status in your host dashboard.

How much does it cost to use ParkYoRide?
Early access: hosting is free for the first three months. After that we take a small 10% service fee from each booking.

How do I set my prices and availability?
You control your price by hour/day/week and can block out dates. We also show a recommended range for your area.

Can I list more than one parking space?
Yes. Create a separate listing for each spot and set capacity if two cars can stack safely.

What if I want to stop hosting?
Deactivate anytime from your host dashboard; your space disappears from search immediately.

Booking, Arrival & Check-In

How do I check in when I arrive? (Parkers)
Open your booking and tap “I’ve arrived” with location on. We may ask for a quick photo to verify.

Do I have to be home when someone parks? (Hosts)
No. ParkYoRide is hands-off—your listing covers directions and instructions.

How do I communicate with a driver?
Use in-app chat to coordinate—no personal phone numbers needed.

I’m running late—do I lose time?
You can arrive anytime in your booked window, but unused time isn’t refundable after the start time.

Can I extend my time?
If the calendar is open, extend from your booking. Extensions are blocked if another booking starts after yours.

No-Show, Cancellations & Refunds

What counts as a no-show?
No check-in within 15 minutes of start and no contact.

Hourly (≤24h): Keep 100% of first 2 hours (or 100% if ≤2h); rest refunded/credited.

Daily (4–24h): Keep 50% of the day; rest refunded/credited.

Multi-day (2–6 days): Keep Day 1 only; rest refunded/credited.

Monthly: Keep Day 1 + 10% admin fee on unused days (max $50); rest refunded/credited.

Event Day: Day 1 is kept.

Can I cancel for free?
Yes—up to 24 hours before start. Inside 24 hours, the same “kept” rules as above apply.

How fast are refunds?
Banks typically post in 5–10 business days. Site credit can be faster where available.

Blocked Space, Overstays & Issues

The space is blocked—what do I do? (Parkers)
Within 15 minutes, send a timestamped photo of the occupied spot and nearby landmark from the app. We’ll refund or relocate you.

What if a car is still in my driveway after the rental ends? (Hosts)
Report an overstay in the app. Overstays may be charged in 1-hour increments and can affect the parker’s account standing.

What if a driver damages my property? (Hosts)
Parkers are responsible for their conduct and any damage. Take clear before/after photos. Your own homeowner/renter policy is usually the responding coverage.

Insurance & Safety (Hosts)

Do I need insurance?
Most homeowner/renter policies include basic liability—confirm with your provider.

Does ParkYoRide provide insurance?
Not at this time; we’re a marketplace platform.

Will ParkYoRide check my insurance?
We may request proof later; today it’s your responsibility to ensure coverage.

What’s the easiest way to confirm coverage?
Ask your provider if liability includes people parking in your driveway/lot; many can add a small rider.

I’m just renting a driveway—should I worry?
Most hosts never have issues, but coverage is smart—like a seatbelt.

Safety & emergencies
Call local authorities first, then contact support in the app.

Vehicle & Verification

What vehicle info is required? (Parkers)
Keep make/color and license plate updated before arrival.

Why do you need photos?
For verification, directions, no-show proof, blocked-space reports, and dispute resolution.

Support

How do I contact support?
Use in-app support or our contact page. Include your booking ID and photos for faster help.
