Scope and contact

This policy describes information handled by ParkYoRide when you create an account, offer or reserve parking, use location features, upload content, or contact us. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to support@parkyoride.com. Third-party services also have their own privacy policies for information they handle independently.

Accounts and profiles

Account information includes your email address, first and last name, username, profile image, account identifiers, host or parker roles, account status, and creation and update dates. Clerk provides authentication, email verification, password recovery, and sessions. Our backend receives verified identity and profile information from Clerk. App profiles and preferences may also be stored on your device. Existing local profiles can be linked to an authenticated account through an identity verification process.

Parking spaces and public information

Hosts provide listing titles, descriptions, property addresses, suite numbers, city, state, postal code, latitude and longitude, photos, vehicle sizes and capacity, rates, availability, booking preferences, parking rules, EV charging details, and amenity descriptions. Published listings expose their address, exact map coordinates, photos, pricing, availability, and other listing details to people browsing parking. Do not publish information or images you do not have permission to share. Host email addresses and account ownership references are also stored for marketplace operations.

Location and maps

With your device permission, the app accesses foreground location, which may be precise, to find nearby spaces, help position a listing, and provide navigation. Navigation can update your location while its screen is in use. Address searches and route requests send search text, coordinates, origins, and destinations to Google Maps services; native mapping and geocoding may also use Apple or Google services depending on the device. Listing coordinates are stored with the listing. The current app uses foreground location rather than background geofencing. You can change location permissions in device settings or search by address where available.

Photos, vehicles, and other content

You may provide profile photos, additional profile images, vehicle descriptions and photos, listing images, and review or rating content where those features are available. Selected photos or camera images are uploaded to Cloudinary for hosting and delivery. Image URLs and identifiers are stored with the relevant records; some profile and review information remains in device storage. Photos may reveal people, license plates, property details, or other personal information. Only upload content you are authorized to use.

Bookings and payments

Booking records contain listing, host and parker identifiers, start and end times, total amounts, booking and payment status, approval deadlines where applicable, and Stripe Checkout session or payment intent references. Stripe processes payment details through its payment interfaces. ParkYoRide does not store full card numbers or card security codes in its application database. Stripe Connect handles host onboarding and payout information; Stripe may request identity, business, tax, and bank details directly. We store connected account identifiers and onboarding, charge, and payout eligibility status.

Support and notifications

If you email support, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you choose to send. Do not send passwords, full card numbers, or card security codes. Notification preferences and Expo push tokens are stored locally; registered tokens and user associations are also stored by the backend. Expo and device notification services deliver booking and approval notifications. Notification content may include reservation details and appear on your lock screen. You can control notifications in the app and device settings. Email and SMS preference controls do not by themselves mean every delivery channel is enabled.

Technical information and website requests

The app uses local SQLite storage, preference storage, and secure session token storage. Account and resource IDs, push tokens, request and error information, and timestamps support authentication and service operation. Backend and hosting services may process IP addresses, browser or device request details, and operational logs when you connect. This website loads Google Fonts, which involves requests to Google. This website has no contact submission form, advertising integration, or configured analytics tracker. Opening an email link uses your email application and provider.

How information is used

Information supports account access, profile and listing management, parking discovery and directions, booking availability and approval, payment processing and routing, notifications, support, identity and ownership checks, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and legal or financial obligations. We use the information necessary for the feature you choose. Declining optional location, camera, photo, or notification access can limit the corresponding feature.

Sharing and service providers

Listing information is shared publicly as described above, and reservation information is used to coordinate hosts and parkers. Clerk processes account authentication; Stripe and Stripe Connect process payments and host onboarding; Cloudinary hosts uploaded images; Google and native map services process mapping and geolocation requests; and Expo and device notification services deliver notifications. Our backend stores application records in PostgreSQL and includes Vibecode service infrastructure. Where configured, Make.com workflows receive listing publication or paid booking events, including names, email addresses, listing addresses, booking details, and vehicle descriptions. Support email and hosting providers process communications and connection information. Information may also be disclosed when legally required, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect users and the service. We do not promise that provider processing stays within your country.

Storage and retention

Information can exist both on your device and in backend records, image hosting, authentication, and payment services. There is no fixed automatic deletion schedule in the current application. Records may remain after a listing is hidden, an app session is cleared, or the app is uninstalled. Payment providers may retain records under their own legal and financial requirements. Contact support to request deletion and to learn what records remain and why; deleting local app data alone does not erase provider or backend records.

Account deletion and privacy requests

The host profile includes a Delete my account control that requires typing DELETE. The current flow checks for unresolved host bookings, hides host listings, and clears the active local profile session. It may send a deletion request to an external service when one is configured. That flow does not establish that your Clerk account, backend profile, booking records, or hosted images have been erased. For a complete account or data deletion request, email support@parkyoride.com from your account email with the subject Account deletion. Support may need to verify your identity and resolve open bookings or financial obligations. Do not treat the app confirmation screen as proof that all personal information has been deleted.

Your choices and rights

You can edit available profile and listing fields, change device permissions, and control notification preferences. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, obtain a copy of, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Email support to exercise a right or ask about available choices. Identity verification may be necessary to protect your account. Legal exceptions may apply to financial, dispute, or other records. Where applicable, you can also contact your local data protection authority.

Security

The service uses authenticated requests and ownership checks for protected resources and secure storage for authentication tokens. These measures reduce risk but do not guarantee security. Protect your device and account credentials, avoid posting sensitive information in public listing content, and report suspected unauthorized access to support.

Children and minors

ParkYoRide is a marketplace for people able to enter parking and payment arrangements. It is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact support so the information and account can be reviewed.

International users and policy changes

Using the service may involve processing by providers in countries other than your own, where data protection rules may differ. Contact support with questions about processing locations or applicable protections. We may update this policy as features and practices change. The date above identifies the latest version; material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
